And there were plenty on Thursday's Galveston, Texas, episode, including the usual suspects like a struggling single mom and an ex-"Idol"-contestant trying out for a second time. And sure, there were some nutty auditioners, too, including not one but two wannabe William Hungs caterwauling Toni Braxton's "Unbreak [...] |
| Posted: 26 Jan 2012 07:13 PM PST Chick Music The word "chick" has been in use as a slang term for a long time. It is noted in the Historical Dictionary of American Slang as being in use way back in 1899 when it meant young woman, or young girl. But when you stop to think about the term, it's rather derogatory. |
| Posted: 26 Jan 2012 04:54 PM PST American Idol, The Day After: Aspen Auditions Dish Last night, "American Idol" headed to Aspen, where a magical man named Magic Cyclops air-guitared his way right into my heart. (And into my wardrobe, obviously, judging by my outfit today.) This wackjob comic genius's time in the "Idol" spotlight was cut short, tragically--or thankfully, according to my "Day After" co-host Matt Whitfield, who was [...] |

I guess nobody told Candice Anitra that all tribute songs are supposed to sound alike — slow moving anthemic power ballads that you never want to hear more than once. Good for her. Her song "Today," which remembers Haiti's devastating 2010 earthquake on its second anniversary, is a funk-laden dance [...] |

(Watch her Season 10 audition here.) Sarah has since continued her food-blogging, and has been cooking up scrumptious snack suggestions for any "Idol" viewing party and posting them here exclusively in Reality Rocks. |
